Chocolate caramel seasalt croissants

A delicious combination of sweet and a touch of salt. Rich chocolate and smooth caramel melt together inside a warm croissant, while a pinch of sea salt adds a surprising twist. Perfect for a treat at breakfast, brunch or alongside a cup of coffee.

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (fan oven).
  2. Pop the can open and roll the dough according to the instructions on the packaging. Place the croissants on a baking tray.
  3. Cut the dough into 4 triangular pieces along the perforated lines.
  4. Spread caramel sauce on each piece of dough and add a pinch of sea salt.
  5. Sprinkle with the chocolate drops from the top cup.
  6. Roll the dough into croissants, starting from the wide end.
  7. Brush the croissants with beaten egg and bake in the middle of the oven for 12–15 minutes, until golden brown.
  8. Optional: drizzle some extra caramel sauce and a pinch of sea salt over the croissants before serving.
